There was a fire overnight in the Oak Hills area.
Around 10:00 p.m. Monday, fire crews from Frankford and Tucker’s Corners (Sidney Ward) responded to 161 Sagers Corners Road.
Quinte West Fire Chief John Whalen says the blaze, just north of Oak Hills Golf Club, began in the chimney, spreading to the walls and ceiling of the home.
Thankfully no one was injured and only moderate damage was reported.
Chief Whalen reminds the public to have your chimneys inspected and cleaned annually.
