Quinte News talked with the mayor of Tyendinaga Township Claire Kennelly about the year ahead.
Kennelly says they have one major project front and centre when it comes to infrastructure.
“The Milltown bridge in Shannonville is currently closed, it is unsafe for travel and loads. We are in the process now of tendering that bridge out and that will be a new structure going in there.”
He added that every dollar matters and they have to be mindful that prices on pretty much everything are rising.
“The challenges are right now with everything increasing like the OPP, they still continue to go up every year.”
Kennelly said there will always be infrastructure work as a priority, however, council will meet to discuss the main priorities.
