Belleville police are reminding the public to be wary of the sales of jewellery in parking lots.
They say there was a bait and switch at a Millennium Parkway business on Saturday afternoon.
Shortly before 4:00 p.m., a suspected family approached a woman walking through the parking lot of the north end business.
They implied they were selling an expensive necklace and offered to let her try it on.
While she was trying it on, they stole a piece of jewellery she was currently wearing.
The suspected family left the scene, with the necklace in hand.
Officers are reminding the public to be cautious of this type of approach.
They are currently trying to identify the group.
