The Cobourg Cougars defeated the Trenton Golden Hawks 6-3 on Friday night.
Cooper Matthews and David Fournier scored for the Golden Hawks.
The Cougars opened scoring with an unanswered first period goal, before both teams tallied a goal in the second. During an action-packed third period, the cougars grabbed two early goals, followed by two Golden Hawks goals, and then two more for the Cougars, maintaining their lead and winning the game.
The Golden Hawks play again on Tuesday hosting the Aurora Tigers.
