The municipality of Brighton has released its building stats for December, and new home construction is up.
Permits were issued for 11 new homes, with 10 permits for semi-detached homes and one permit for a single unit.
The total is up from the previous December, which saw permits issued for only two new homes.
Construction is slightly down over the course of the year, despite rising in December. Approvals were granted for 65 homes in 2023, and only 63 in 2024.
