As we continue through the early days of 2025, Quinte News had the chance to speak with Hastings-Lennox & Addington MPP Ric Bresee to look ahead to the new year.
Bresee tells Quinte News that they expect growth in the number of family physicians coming into the region.
“We’ve had a number of new family physicians come into the area, and with that, looking forward to 2025, we’re going to continue to see that expansion,” Bresee tells Quinte News.
“We will have more family physicians available, more people rostered with family physicians all across the riding.”
On top of the new physicians that Bresee hopes to come to the region, he notes that there are a number of housing projects that are underway including the opening of new long-term care homes.
“Looking at the housing side of things, one of the things that we will see coming in 2025 is the opening of four new long-term care facilities across the riding,” Bresee said.
“We’ve got a number of housing projects that are coming online in the near, near term. So we’re going to see some tremendous successes. I’m just really excited for the growth that’s happening all across the riding.”
