Last month was a little warmer and much wetter than is usual for a December in the Quinte region.
As measured at CFB Trenton the average high temperature last month was just under plus two degrees Celsius and the average low was minus six.
The normal average high has been plus one and the low close to minus eight.
Meanwhile, 81 millimetres of rain fell last month, a lot more than the usual 50 mm.
As far as the white stuff is concerned, 24 centimetres fell, less that the normal 37 cm for a December
in this area.
The biggest snowfall occurred on December 4 when we received close to 10 cm.
