While we couldn’t quite set a new high temperature record Sunday in the Quinte region we did right off the bat Monday.
According to readings taken at CFB Trenton the temperature at just after midnight Monday was 13.7 degrees celsius.
That was much higher than the previous record for a December 30 in the area which was 8.6 degrees set in 2022.
Meanwhile Sunday the mercury climbed to 12.3 degrees, just shy of the record 12.9 set in 1984.
