Northumberland OPP have made a further arrest in connection with an October robbery in Trent Hills.
Preliminary investigation revealed three males assaulted and threatened a resident on Church Lane in Hastings on October 18.
A mobile phone was taken during the incident and a firearm is also believed to have been brandished during the altercation.
The first suspect was arrested on October 21, with another suspect located on November 18 and the arrest of a female on November 25.
On Friday, OPP made another arrest with the assistance of the Saint-Jean-Sur-Richelieu Police Service in Quebec.
Thirty-year-old Dustin Wesenberg of Quebec is charged with:
– Robbery using a firearm
– Assault with a weapon
– Uttering threats – cause death or bodily harm
– Uttering threats – damage property
-Possession of weapon for dangerous purpose
– Unauthorized possession of a prohibited or restricted firearm
– Possession of firearm or ammunition contrary to prohibition order – two counts
– Fail to comply with probation order – two counts.
The accused was transported from Quebec to Northumberland where he was held for a bail hearing.
OPP say the investigation is ongoing, assisted by the Northumberland OPP Crime Unit.
