There was a stand off between a Belleville man and city police Sunday morning.
Around 1:00 a.m., officers went to an east-end home to arrest a man wanted on a number of charges, related to an earlier domestic dispute complaint.
Shortly after police contacted the man, he barricaded himself inside the home, threatening to self-harm.
The Emergency Response Team and Crisis Negotiators were called into assist.
Around three hours later he surrendered to police and was taken into custody.

The male was held in custody for a bail hearing.
His name is not being released to protect the identity of the victim involved in the incident.
