A Long Sault man has been arrested after a number of collisions on Highway 401 on Friday.
Lennox & Addington County OPP say the incidents began in the Leeds County area, moving west through the Kingston and Napanee areas.
Police say a car collided with multiple vehicles, other westbound vehicles, and the driver refused to stop for police.
An arrest was made after the vehicle left the highway at Shannonville Road and entered a parking lot.
No injuries were reported.
Twenty-nine-year-old Raphael Cote of Long Sault, Ontario was charged with the following:
- Dangerous operation – two counts
- Careless driving
- Failure to stop after an accident – four counts
- Flight from a peace officer
- Stunt driving
The accused was released to the custody of another police service in relation to another matter.
The individual is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Brockville on January 24, 2025, and before the Ontario Court of Justice in Napanee in February 11, 2025.
