The Cobourg Cougars beat the Wellington Dukes 5-2 on Friday.
Ryan Schaap and Cory Jewitt scored for the Dukes.
The Cougars opened scoring with two early first period goals. The Dukes came back with one of their own before the end of the frame. The Cougars picked up an unanswered goal in the second, before moving on to the third where they picked up two more. A final goal from the Dukes wasn’t enough to tip the scales and the Cougars won the game.
The Dukes are back in action on Sunday, on the road, to face the Milton Menace.
