Bancroft OPP have arrested two people from Quebec in connection with a stolen vehicle.
A white Jeep Rubicon was reported stolen from a dealership on Highway 118 in Haliburton.
Officers observed the vehicle headed east late Thursday night.
The suspects attempted to evade a traffic stop by police and later abandoned the vehicle in Bancroft.
A female suspect was arrested nearby and a male suspect was arrested shortly afterward.
Thirty-four-year-old Francis Thibault of Bowman, Quebec is charged with:
– Dangerous Operation
– Flight from Peace Officer
– Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000
– Possession of a Schedule I Substance
– Possession of a Prohibited Device
Sophie McGrath, a 30-year-old resident of Cantley, Quebec is charged with:
– Dangerous Operation
– Flight from Peace Officer
– Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000
Both individuals were held in custody pending a bail hearing.
