The new warden and deputy warden for Lennox and Addington County have been elected and it is a roll reversal for Loyalist Township.
Nathan Townend, the Deputy Mayor of Loyalist is the new warden, while Mayor Jim Hegadorn will serve as his deputy.
Townend was elected as the deputy in Loyalist in 2022 and currently serves on the KFL&A Public Health Board.
He also serves on the ROMA and AMO board.
He is a farmer on Amherst Island.
Jim Hegadorn works for the Ministry of Transportation and has served on county council since 2018.
