Parking fines are going to be increasing in the City of Quinte West, but parking will stay free.
During Wednesday’s meeting, council approved a new by-law and the implementation of a new parking system.
Carrie West is the supervisor of By-Law Enforcement and says if you receive a ticket, there are multiple ways to pay.
“There will be QR codes that you can scan, you can go directly to their site to pay, we’ll have links from our site to pay. It will be very simple.”
The new parking system will provide free parking within city parking lots and a two-hour parking limit for all on-street parking within the downtown core.
