Centre Hastings OPP have charged a driver after an accident in Madoc.
On Saturday, officers attended a collision at the intersection of Highway 7 and Cooper Road.
A vehicle had left the road, hit a hydro pole, and stopped in a ditch.
After a brief investigation, officers arrested and charged 63-year-old Raymond Jaques of Madoc with operation while impaired and having blood alcohol level over .80.
The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Belleville on December 19.
The individual’s driver’s licence has been suspended for 90 days and vehicle has been impounded for seven days.
