Residential construction accounted for much of the building activity in Brighton last month.
The municipality’s Building Department reports the dollar value of construction activity was up last month even though fewer permits were issued.
There were 18 permits with a construction value of $7.7 million in November compared to 20 permits worth $5 million in the same month last year.
Eleven of the permits issued last month were for new residential dwellings including a half dozen sixplex townhouses.
Year-to-date, Brighton has issued 167 permits worth $45.5 million, down from the 204 permits with an $89.7 million construction value issued through November 30, 2023.
