The OJHL-leading Trenton Golden Hawks picked up in December where they left on in November. Winning.
The G-Hawks made it 13 in a row with a 4-1 win over the Pickering Panthers.
Cooper Matthews and Spencer Hughes scored a goal and assist while Brady Spry stopped 36 shots.
Trenton’s last loss came on October 18.
They get set for Round 2 in the Hasty P Cup in Wellington on Friday night.
Wellington 5 Georgetown 1
Jared McNeil (13th) and Ryan Schaap (15th) scored 67 seconds apart to give Wellington a 2-0 first period lead as they rolled to a 5-1 win over the Georgetown Raiders.
The win moves Wellington into a third place tie in the Eastern Conference.
The Dukes are in Cobourg tonight (Monday).
Amherstview 5 Picton 4 shootout
In Junior “C” play Gabe Williams scored 3 to help the Amherstview Jets in their 5-4 shootout win over the Picton Pirates.
Aiden Treverton scored twice for Picton.
The Trent Hill Thunder blew out the North Kawartha Knights’ 8-2.
Tweed 8 Desseronto 3
It was the battle of Hastings in the Eastern Ontrario Superior Hockey League where the Tweed Oil Kings crushed the Deseronto Bulldogs 8-3.
Tweed built an 8-0 lead before Deseronto closed the game with the final three goals.
Elijah Brahaney led the way with two goals and an assist.
