One person is facing charges after a family was threatened in Tweed.
Late Saturday afternoon, a couple and their infant child were walking to their vehicle when they were confronted and threatened by a woman holding a hammer.
The family fled to safety and the woman had left the scene before Central Hastings OPP arrived.
Around 1 a.m. on Sunday, officers located an individual with a hammer banging on the doors of multiple homes in the town.
As a result of the investigation, 40-year-old Tasha Healey of Tweed has been charged with:
-Assault with a weapon
-Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose
-Utter threats to cause death or bodily harm
-Fail to comply with a probation order – two counts
The accused was held for a bail hearing on Monday.
