Roaming cats will be up for discussion at a meeting of Brighton council Monday night.
Councillors Jeff Wheeldon and Bobbi Wright will make a motion to have staff report back to council
on a pet control by-law that includes “best practices in reducing cat roaming and predation.”
The motion states that bird populations have been in sharp decline for decades and that outdoor cats are responsible for an estimated 100 million to 350 million bird deaths a year in Canada.
