An investigation by the Kingston Police Street Crime Unit during the month of November has resulted in a large drug seizure and charges against a Bath resident.
Police began an investigation after receiving information involving an individual actively involved in the sale and distribution of cocaine and crystal methamphetamine within Kingston.
That investigation culminated in a traffic stop on November 29 in the Highway 401 and Odessa area where the individual was arrested without incident.
A search warrant was also carried out at their residence.
During the search of the associated vehicle and the residence, officers with the Special Services Unit located approximately 1013.5 grams of cocaine, 336 grams of crystal methamphetamine and a large amount of Canadian currency.
The street value of the items seized is estimated to be approximately $135,000.
A 48-year-old Bath resident is charged with two counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking, possession of proceeds of crime and breach of release order.
The individual, who was already on a judicial release order for possession for the purpose of trafficking and possession of proceeds of crime, was held for a bail hearing.
Police say if convicted of these offences the individual could face a maximum penalty of imprisonment for life.
