The Trenton Golden Hawks defeated the St. Michaels Buzzers 5-3 on Friday.
Taeo Artichuk, Kayson Un Yi, Kyloe Ellis, Cooper Matthews, and Corbin Roach scored for the Golden Hawks.
The Golden Hawks opened scoring early in the first period, and the Buzzers came back late in the frame to even the score. Going into the second, the Golden Hawks built a powerful lead with three back-to-back unanswered goals. In the third, the Golden Hawks grabbed their final goal of the night, before the Buzzers grabbed two back-to-back goals in a final comeback attempt. Despite the late goals, they couldn’t catch up, and the Golden Hawks took the win.
The Golden Hawks are back in action on Sunday against the Pickering Panthers.
