Meanwhile, 12 people were in hospital with COVID-19, down from 18 the week previous.
So far this season the highest number of people in hospital due to COVID-19 was 22 in the week starting November 3.
There are two respiratory illness outbreaks at long-term care homes in the area. One is for influenza at Westhill Retirement Residence, formerly Maple Manor and the other is for COVID-19 in the north wing at Trenton’s Crown Ridge Place.
