Prince Edward County council has voted to award the tender for the construction of the new H.J. McFarland home building during Tuesday’s council meeting.
The tender for the new long term care home was granted to Matheson Constructors Limited for $67,110,000.00, not including applicable taxes.
The new home will be 124,500 square feet in floor area, and have 160 resident beds.
Matheson Constructors was the lowest bid for the project.
