On November 22, 2024 at 6:10 p.m., Belleville police received a 911 call regarding a domestic dispute in the east end of the city.
Officers received initial information from a female that her boyfriend had threatened her.
Officers arrived on scene and spoke to the female who advised that the boyfriend had assaulted her.
After speaking to both parties, a 35-year-old male from Toronto was arrested for domestic assault, assault with a weapon and two counts of breach of probation.
The male was transported to Belleville Police Service and held for a bail hearing the following morning. Neither party required medical assistance as a result of the incident.
