The Trenton Golden Hawks smashed the Toronto Patriots 5-1 on Saturday night.
Devin Mauro, Thomas Kuipers, Matthew Souliere, and David Fournier scored for the Golden Hawks.
The Golden Hawks opened scoring late in the first period, before claiming three more goals in the second. During the second, the Patriots grabbed their one and only goal of the night in between goals by the Golden Hawks. A final third-period goal by the Golden Hawks extended their lead, as they took the win.
The Golden Hawks play again on Tuesday, hosting the Markham Royals.
