Lennox & Addington County OPP have charged a young person with uttering threats in Loyalist Township.
Shortly after 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, L&A County OPP responded to allegations of a threat.
Two local schools went into lockdown until police could determine that there was no threat to public safety.
Police say it was an isolated incident and there is no risk to public safety.
Following an investigation, a young person from Napanee was charged with uttering threats, death or bodily harm.
The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Greater Napanee on a later date.
The identity of the accused is protected under the Youth Criminal Justice Act and will not be released.
