Battling encampments in Napanee

The Town of Greater Napanee is in a public consultation period in regards to a new by-law and encampments in the municipality.

It is called the Parks & Public Spaces By-law and Encampment Review Protocol.

Main highlights of the new by-law include:

1.  No one can remain in parks between 11:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m.
2.  No one can build a fire on municipal property
3.  No alcohol, drugs, weapons are allowed in public parks
4.  No camping is permitted on municipal grounds
