There is a fundraiser to cover the cost of a funeral for the victim of a murder investigation
At approximately 7:50 p.m. on November 16, 2024, officers were called to an apartment building in the Bonaccord Street and Monaghan Road area about an altercation between two tenants. Upon arrival, officers located a man outside the building without vital signs. Lifesaving measures were given by police officers and paramedics, however, the 62-year-old male victim was pronounced deceased at Peterborough Regional Health Centre a short time later.
As a result of an investigation, 38-year-old Ben Turner of Peterborough was arrested and charged with:
- Second-Degree Murder
The accused is being held in custody and will appear in court today, November 17, 2024.
