It will be a special day at Belleville’s newest school Thursday.
The afternoon will feature the grand opening of Easthill Elementary School on MacDonald Avenue.
The newly built school is an amalgamation of Queen Elizabeth and Queen Victoria schools.
The event will include music from the school’s band and choir and speakers will include the Director of Education Katherine MacIver, members from the Hastings Prince Edward District School Board and local politicians, including Chief of the Mohawks R Don Maracle.
The school opened to students on September 4.
