Nine different choir groups met in Belleville on Monday, for Bellefest 2024.
The groups met at St. Matthew’s United Church to share their love of choral music and demonstrate the diverse styles
of each group.
The attending groups were Shout Sister, Command Performance, Canadian Military Wives Choir, Happy Harmony, A Cappella Quinte, Belleville Choral Society, North Lakeshore Chorus, Centennial, and Westminster United Church.
In its second year, Bellefest grew from 240 singers to 320.
After a warm-up led by Shout Sister director Georgette Fry, each choir sang two selections – from Christmas music to gospel to ballads to rock ‘n roll.
