The issue of what to do with a large population of Mute Swans in and around Presqu’ile Bay will again be before Brighton council Monday.
Council will hear from two delegations demanding that council reverse a decision asking the federal government to remove the birds from the list of protected species and to allow for measures to control their population.
In March council heard from a biologist who said there were almost 1,000 swans around Presqu’ile and that they were destroying plant life and harming biodiversity.
Brighton council meets Monday at 6:30 in council chambers.
