A fire from Monday morning has been deemed suspicious.
Around 9:30 a.m., emergency crews were called to Queen Street in Plainfield, in Belleville’s Thurlow Ward.
One resident was treated for smoke inhalation by paramedics.
The Belleville Fire Prevention unit, the Belleville Police Forensic Identification Unit and Criminal Investigations Division processed the scene and are asking anyone with information to contact police or Crime Stoppers.
