An international campaign is garnering some local attention in the Quinte area.
The local branch of the Grandmothers Advocacy Network – GRANquinte, is promoting a campaign entitled 16 Days of Activism to End Violence Against Women and Girls.
On Tuesday, GRANquinte will be selling lawn signs at Belleville Public Library from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m..
They will do the same on Wednesday at the Trenton library from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m..
An estimated $736 million women have experienced physical or sexual violence in their lifetime.
