Peterborough OPP are seeking the public’s assistance in locating an individual in relation to an assault investigation in Havelock.
On November 12, 2024 at approximately 8:45 p.m., members of the Peterborough OPP received a report of an assault on Ottawa Street in Havelock.
The complainant advised that three known individuals attended their residence, all of whom participated in the assault, then left in a vehicle after making threats to return and cause more harm.
On November 13, 2024, officers arrested two individuals in relation to this investigation.
Rodney Libby, 39 years old of Havelock, was arrested and charged with:
- Assault Causing Bodily Harm
- Uttering Threats – Cause Death or Bodily Harm
Shannon McGuire, 39 years old of Eganville, was arrested and charged with:
- Assault Causing Bodily Harm
- Uttering Threats – Cause Death or Bodily Harm
Both accused were released and will appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Peterborough on December 17, 2024.
Police are still searching for the remaining individual, Gordon Fletcher, a 31-year-old of Trent Hills.
He is described as 6′, 190 lbs with brown hair and brown eyes.
The individual is known to frequent Peterborough County and Northumberland.
The individual is wanted for assault with a weapon, assault cause bodily harm, possession of firearm, robbery using firearm, utter threats, and fail to comply with probation.
Police believe this was an isolated incident. However, with a weapon involved, the OPP urges the public to be aware of their personal safety at all times.
