A small group of volunteers worked hard on an important report and were recognized by Belleville council Wednesday.
Volunteers worked 746 hours to produce an updated Manufacturing Business Retention and Expansion report.
Eighty-six per cent of the city’s manufacturers participated with 38 industries being visited and their leaders interviewed.
The report shows 90 per cent of manufacturers plan to expand within the next three years, however, manpower shortages and the lack of affordable housing were cited as challenges.
