Drivers in Belleville will surely be interested in a report that’s coming to city council in the new year.
Wednesday, Councillor Chris Malette asked that staff provide a detailed report on the costs, revenues and number of speeding tickets issued in the recently implemented speed camera program officially known as Automated Speed Enforcement.
Malette also asked for information on whether there had been fewer collisions in the community safety zones where the cameras are operating.
The report will come to council after the first nine months of the system’s operation or after two full camera location changes, whichever comes first.
