Hastings Prince Edward District School Board has announced their decision on a recent investigation against Trustee Rachel Prinzen.
Prinzen represents the following schools in northern Prince Edward County.
- CML Snider School
- Kente Public School
- Massassaga-Rednersville Public School
- Sophiasburgh Central School
The investigation surrounded the Code of Conduct and alleged breaches by Prinzen.
Due to the fact the investigation contains confidential, personal, and sensitive information, the board went in-camera during their meeting this week.
The report and the board’s discussion will not be publicly disclosed.
In public session, Chair Shannon Binder disclosed the seven motions and the board voted in open session.
Although the details were not disclosed, the motions surrounded an alleged break in board confidentiality and information.
Chair Binder announced the sanctions approved by the Board of Trustees.
” … that Trustee Prinzen be barred from attending all or part of a meeting of the board, or a committee thereof and from sitting on one or more boards or committees commencing January 6, 2025 for a period of 90 days.”
