Argyle Park includes a picnic table and a three-piece swing set that is more than 30 years old along with green space with a few mature trees.
With the recent growth in that neighbourhood, there is a greater demand for park amenities that Argyle Park cannot currently meet.
County Council approved $90,000 in the 2024 capital budget for the installation of new playground equipment.
There has also been a desire expressed by local residents to fundraise up to $55,000, which would be used for naturalization, park seating, and shade for gatherings.
Municipal staff will share further details about the improvement project at the meeting on November 5.
