Almost $200,000 worth of contraband was recently seized at Millhaven Institution.
Correctional Service Canada reports the seizure was made at the maximum-security federal institution on October 24.
Items seized included tobacco, crystal methamphetamine, an edged weapon, as well as a cell phone and cell phone accessory.
The Correctional Service of Canada uses a number of tools to prevent drugs from entering its institutions including ion scanners and drug-detector dogs to search buildings, personal property, inmates, and visitors.
