A male busted for shoplifting on Sunday in Belleville’s north end was picked up for the same crime less than 24 hours later.
Belleville police responded to a Bell Blvd business Monday afternoon where staff reported a shoplifter whom they were familiar with due to previous incidents.
The male had fled on a bicycle.
Police located the suspect on North Front Street and realized he had been arrested and charged with the same offence at a different store Sunday evening.
Malachi Warner, 20 years old of no fixed address, was charged with theft under $5000 and breach of probation.
He was held for a bail hearing.
