The East Northumberland Secondary School Blue Dragons defended their the overall team title at the COSSA Cross-country championships in Peterborough on Wednesday.
ENSS earned a total of 41 team points. St. Peter’s was second followed by CCI and IE Weldon tied for 3rd place
ENSS took first place in the Junior Boys and Senior Boys divisions, and the Senior Girls were second place. All three ENSS teams will advance to OFSAA, to be held in Ottawa on November 4. Three individual ENSS runners also qualified for OFSAA: Roslyn Marshall (9 in Novice Girls), Jordan Loveless (11th in Novice Boys) and Anastaiisa Syrovatska (2nd in junior girls). The ENSS Novice Girls and Junior Girls teams were third place while the novice boys were sixth.
The ENSS Junior boys included Sullivan Tait (1), Jack Turner (2), Dawson Dunham (3), Grayson Graham (12), Ethan McDougall (13), Alex Botting (15), Eli Christian (20), and Noah Wambolt (30).
ENSS Senior boys were Owen McDougall (3), Chase Eddy (6) , Nate Boomhouwer (7), Ethan Miklos (12), Jacob Wambolt (21), Sunny Fanjoy (22), Logan Rivard (35), Orion Kovacs (37), Michael Warner (51), Xander Danielsen (52), Jonathan Trescher (55), and Gavin Allen (70).
ENSS senior girls included Cadence Tait (3), Kora Ferguson (12), Cara Perrault (14), Sophia Waite (23), Josalynn Scott (27), Ella Singh (38).
