A driver has been charged with impaired operation and stunt driving.
Northumberland OPP responded to a report of a motorist engaging in stunt driving at a car park in the area of Percy Boom Road and County Road 30 in the Municipality of Trent Hills at around 7:25 p.m. on Thursday.
When police arrived, they say the subject of the complaint was no longer present but through what they called “investigative avenues”, police were able to locate the passenger vehicle described by the caller at a nearby residence.
The person was arrested and transported to a local detachment for further tests.
Twenty-six-year-old Taylor Watman of Port Hope was charged with the following:
- Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs
- Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
- Dangerous operation
- Drive motor vehicle – perform stunt
On top of a future court date, a 90-day Administrative Driver Licence Suspension and a 14-day vehicle impound was initiated as per statute.
