The Belleville Chamber of Commerce is now accepting applications for next month’s Santa Claus Parade.
On Monday, Belleville City Council approved the parade permit for the 26th anniversary of the Nighttime Santa Claus Parade on Sunday, November 17.
The parade will start at Bridge St. W at Sidney St. around 4:30 p.m., travel through the Downtown District and end at the Bayview Mall on Bridge St. East.
The festive lineup of floats generally boasts over 75 entrants every year.
The parade also includes collections of letters for Santa, food for Gleaners and toys for the Firefighters Toy drive.
While waiting for Santa to arrive in the East Hill, you can enjoy free craft activities at Glanmore House from 4 – 5:30 p.m. and the Rotary Club of Belleville is bringing back their Reindeer Park (featuring live reindeer) and hot chocolate (and treats from Pink Funnel) at Robin Jeffery Park from 4 – 6 p.m.
Applications for the parade are now open through November 1, in person at the Log Cabin, 5 Moira St. E during regular office hours – Monday-Friday 8:30 to 4:30 until Friday, November 1 at 12 p.m. or online through Discover Belleville.
