The Wellington Dukes scored an admirable 7-1 win over the Caldeon Admirals in their second and final game of the OJHL Governor’s Showcase in Niagara Falls.
The Dukes broke open a tight game with three goals in the second and again in the third.
Ben Vreugdenhil (4th) and Sacha Trudel (3rd) scored twice. Jack Lisson stopped 30 shots.
Also scoring for the Dukes were Zach Mascard (2nd), Zander Latreille (2nd) and Jared McNeil (3rd).
Wellington is 3-4 on the season. They’re in Toronto to play the Patriots Saturday night, then host the Collingwood Blues Sunday afternoon at 2:30 at Lehigh Arena.
