Belleville City Council approved two separate incentive agreements with two nurse practitioners at its meeting on Monday.
The agreements with Jocelyn Timpson and Samer Kobrosly will see an incentive of $10,000 each when they start their full-time position in exchange for a two-year commitment of service to the City of Belleville.
The incentive would be paid out in two equal instalments, the first coming at the start of their full-time position, the other coming after six months of employment.
Both Timpson and Kobrosly have recently graduated and have been licensed as Nurse Practitioners in Ontario with both starting their full-time, permanent jobs at Belleville General Hospital on Monday.
Timpson has previous experience working in the ICU at Belleville General Hospital as well as in the ICU and Neuroscience and Neurosurgery Department at Kingston Health Sciences Centre.
Kobrosly has previous experience working in Toronto and Ottawa hospitals and has worked as an instructor at Algonquin College teaching BScN nursing students and RPN students.
