A Peterborough Police Services officer is facing charges after an OPP investigation.
In March, the Chief of the Peterborough Police Service requested that the OPP investigate allegations involving a Peterborough Police Service member. The investigation was taken on by the OPP Criminal Investigation Branch.
No details have been released about the specific allegations.
As a result of the OPP investigation, 27-year-old Mackenzie Rogers of Peterborough has been arrested and charged with two counts of breach of trust along with possession of property obtained by crime over $5000.
The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Peterborough on October 8, 2024.
