The City of Belleville continues to try and plan ahead when it comes to having serviceable land ready for business.
On Monday, council signed off on the purchase of 175 Airport Parkway, which is just east of Elmwood Drive.
The property was listed at $599,000.
Staff indicated the property is to assist in the development of the Employment Lands. It is now one of the most easterly properties for the Northeast Industrial Park.
The final price tag for the city is $630,000 and consists of the purchase price and closing costs including land transfer tax, non-rebateable HST and any applicable tax or water adjustments on closing.
