Three people are dead, and five more injured, after a boat collision on Bobs Lake, just north of Kingston.
Firefighters and OPP responded to the scene of the crash just after 9:30 p.m. on Friday. A speed boat and an open bow fishing boat collided in the Bucks Bay area.
Three people were pronounced dead at the scene, a 21-year-old woman from South Frontenac Township, a 22-year-old woman from Elginburg and a 23-year-old man from South Frontenac.
Five others, age 21 to 44, were taken to a Kingston hospital with various injuries. One person was transported by air due to the severity of their injuries while the others were checked out on the scene by paramedics.
Frontenac OPP is continuing to investigate the incident.
