Nine McDonald’s restaurants in Belleville, Trenton, Picton, Brighton, Campbellford, and Madoc were able to raise $38,032 for The Children’s Foundation on Wednesday.
The Children’s Foundation serves Hastings, Northumberland, and Prince Edward counties.
According to a press release, the funds raised will go towards supporting underserved children and youth through programming that provides opportunities to play sports, go to camp, learn new skills, attend post-secondary education, and more.
“The Children’s Foundation is humbled by the generosity of the whole community,” says Melanie Cressman, Executive Director of The Children’s Foundation in the release.
“It was an inspiring day of collaboration across our region, and we are excited by the number of children that we can help as a result of its success. Thank you to Ken and Cynthya Schmidt and Todd Shea for their dedication to the children and youth that we serve.”
